Over 200 competitors arrived from 23 West Australian clubs to participate in the annual Kalgoorlie Short Course Carnival held on the 9 and 10th July at the Goldfields Oasis Leisure Centre, one of the premier country sporting centres in Australia.
 
Once again Kalgoorlie Club put on a well run meet with lots of All Comers records smashed.

Junior Swimmer of the Meet, Brooke Wilson, broke 11 & 12 year old records, setting the pace for some cracking competition. Brooke finished first in ten races including the 100m Breaststroke in 1.26.14 and the 100m Freestyle in 1.05.83.
 
Swan Hills Swimming Club collected the Cromwell Cup for being the top club at the meet for the fifth consecutive year. Club Captains David Clements and Daneka Chittleborough acknowledged the outstanding competition and thanked all Swan Hills team members for their consistent efforts and strong team spirit displayed throughout the weekend.
