ASCTA Junior Squad and Assistant Coaching Course

AIMS: The ASCTA Junior Squad and Assistant Coaching accreditation aims to develop a candidate's competence in:

Assisting with the development of efficient swimming strokes including starts, turns and finishes
Developing fundamental coaching skills including organising a group, use of facilities and equipment, communication skills and delivering introductory training sessions
Assisting with the planning, organising and evaluation of swimmers into a competitive swimming environment
Promoting the values of the sport for health & well being

COURSE OUTLINE

The ASCTA Junior Squad and Assistant Coaching Course will be conducted for a minimum of 12 hours and will include the following topics:

Swimming in Australia
Being an effective swimming coach
Learning swimming skills
Mechanics of swimming
Developing the competitive swimming strokes

Cost: $290.00 + $75 ASCTA fee
