ASAOC Officials selected for 12th FINA World Championships

ASAOC Officials Alf Matthews, Ian and Robyn Arblaster, Richard Verboon, Dorothy Harris and Lesley Arrowsmith have all been selected as Technical Officials for the 12th FINA World Championships in Melbourne 2007.

FINA Official Robyn Arblaster is an Open Water Official for the event and is excited to be offered a place "I haven't worked at an International meet before so this will be great and also a valuable experience, I'm really looking forward to working with International Officials for the first time".

SWA Vice President and Technical Official Dorothy Harris will be a pool Technical Official for the event and is thrilled to bits with the offer "It's a great opportunity for me, I will be working as a check starter, so I'll have one of the best seats there, and I'm really looking forward to watching some amazing swims.  I didn't get to Officiate at the Commonwealth Games, so I'm really happy I was selected this is a great opportunity, I'm just wrapped."

Richard Verboon an Open Water Swimming Official for the event has just returned from Naples officiating World Open Water Swimming Championships and is looking forward to contributing his experiences from Naples to the FINA World Championships, Richard says "It will also be fantastic to watch Josh Santacaterina who won gold in the 25km World Open Water Championships in Naples defend his title, that will be a real highlight for me".

OWS Technical Official Kevin Holtom has also accepted a position with the 2007 World Championship Corporation as the Coordinator of Open Water Swimming.
