To All Coaches and Officials

The Department of Sport and Recreation 2008 Regional Coach/Official Scholarships are now open!

Over the past four years The Department of Sport and Recreation has provided $170,000 to 160 talented regional coaches and officials from DSR's nine regions. Approximately 40 grants of up to $1,500 ($2,000 for the North West) are awarded each year. Regional coaches and officials over 16 years, residing in country Western Australia who coach/officiate regular sport in that regional area are eligible to apply.

What can the funding be used for?
Scholarships are provided for costs associated with accessing development opportunities e.g. attend accredited courses, workshops/seminars, mentoring opportunities, state and national competitions, special coach/official sessions, etc. Applicants must provide a detailed program of their activities for the scholarship period.

Closing Date

Applications must be lodged with the coach/officials nearest DSR regional office by 5pm Friday 28 March, 2008.
