Australian Unity GO CLUB PB program

Swimming Australia's Australian Unity GO CLUB PB  program recognises and rewards the achievements and developments of swimming clubs right across Australia.

Australian Unity GO CLUB PB serves two purposes: the first enables the recognition and reward for clubs that are taking a holistic approach to our sport and the second helps clubs, regions, State Swimming Associations and Swimming Australia, to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses, enabling the development of programs to appropriately address these areas.

In 2007, Swimming Australia received 400 Australian Unity GO CLUB PB workbooks, resulting 20 clubs achieving the GOLD standard, 55 clubs achieving the silver standard, 101 clubs achieving the bronze standard and 145 clubs achieving the green standard.

All clubs whom participated in the Australian Unity GO CLUB PB Program in 2007, received a poster from Swimming Australia, providing feedback on their; results, their State average and their National average, for each question submitted in the workbook. This allowed clubs all over Australia to identify future club development strategies and provided a useful means for comparison. Clubs achieving the GOLD, silver, bronze and green standards, also received a reward package, recognising their achievement.

Based on feedback from clubs who participated in 2007, there has been a slight revision of the workbook to better reflect the operation of swimming clubs. We are also very impressed to see that many of you have taken to the online option, of submitting your Australian Unity GO CLUB PB workbooks and we hope to again increase online submissions this year.

Swimming Australia hopes all clubs that participated in 2007 saw the benefits of the Australian Unity GO CLUB program and will participate in 2008, with the goal of improving last year's results.
