Young coaches and officials can now apply for their share of the Australian Sports Commission’s annual $1.6 million Local Sporting Champions grants — an Australian Government initiative to support junior sport.

As mentioned in the OWS clinic release, Greg Towle, the Australian Open Water Swimming Head Coach will be running a course for coaches this January. Coaches also have the opportunity of attending the athlete’s clinic as well. For more information and to enrol, please see the article below.

Over 55 coaches, including several regional coaches, attended the 2009 Coaches Conference held at Challenge Stadium on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th September.

ASAOC will be hosting a development camp for the new members of the Regional Talent Development and Rising Stars squads in order to develop their skills in the lead up to the Age Short Course Championships in August.

All coaches are invited to attend a valuable development opportunity hosted by WAIS Swimming Performance Manager Greg Hodge. This has been arranged so that all coaches can attend and will take place before the second sessions on the Open and Junior Short Course State Championships. Please see the links and register now!
