South West Academy of Sport - Individual Athlete Scholarships
The South West Academy of Sport invites applications from individual athletes aged 14-18 years who live in the South West region and meet one of the four performance categories (see attached for details). Nb. The closing date for applications has been extended until Friday 4 December 2009.

RLSSWA Pool Lifesaving Championships 2009-2010
The Royal Life Saving Society of Western Australia are holding their State Championships at Challenge Stadium this October. This is a great event to supplement your swimming program.

2010 Primary School Relays Entry Pack
ASAOC will be running the next Primary School Relays meet at the Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre in Inglewood in February 2010. Make sure your school comes down to have a great day of swimming, fun, prizes and excitement!

2009 Australian Unity Go Club PB
Results are now in for the 2009 Australian Unity GO CLUB PB! Congratulations to all those clubs who will be receiving reward packs for the first time and to those who improved on their 2008 results. Clubs can expect their reward packs to be arriving by October 2009. A summary of WA results is also included as a separate document.

Play by the Rules Workshop - Pilbara
The Department of Sport and Recreation Pilbara office are offering 'Play by the Rules' workshops via internal video-link to our Perth office. Unfortunately this can not be offered via external video-link as our video conferencing equipment is not currently set up for this. Please find the flyer attached. Two dates/times are available in August. Please RSVP as soon as possible to gauge interest/numbers. Given that this is being done through our internal video-conferencing equipment attendees will need to attend the Karratha office to participate. Australian Team Coach Gray Parkes will be in Perth to hold a Pool Lifesaving Clinic on Saturday 11th of July to all JLC & Pool Lifesaving competitors and coaches.

Local Sporting Champions - Grants Available
The Australian Sports Commission advises that there are still Local Sporting Champions grants available across the country this year. The grants are available for young sportsmen and women competing in official state or national sporting competitions. Please see media release attached.

As part of Telstra's sponsorship of Swimming Australia, and in conjunction with the Swimming Foundation, the Telstra Swimming Assistance Fund is designed to supply eligible swimming clubs with essential swimming equipment

GO Club PB is a Swimming Australia program, which recognises the achievements and developments of swimming clubs.The GO Club PB workbook has been mailed to all swimming clubs. Swimming Clubs should be receiving these in the mail this week.
