The 2009 Australian Paralympic Youth Games
The 2009 Australian Paralympic Youth Games will be held from 5 – 10 October 2009 in Melbourne, hosted by Wheelchair Sports Victoria. The Games are open to young athletes with a physical or sensory disability aged between 12 and 20 years (as at 31 December 2009). For more information please click on the link below:

The Toyota Paralympic Talent Search Program
The Toyota Paralympic Talent Search Program continues throughout Western Australia with a Swimming Talent Search day to be held at Challenge Stadium in Mt Claremont on Saturday 2 May 2009. The Toyota Paralympic Talent Search program has proven to be very successful with 27 Athletes identified through this program being selected to represent Australia in Beijing at the 2008 Paralympic Games with 15 going on to win medals. The search is now on to identify the next generation of Paralympic champions for London and beyond.

National Disability Awards 2008

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is part of a worldwide celebration that occurs on 3 December each year. The day is a collaborative effort to celebrate and acknowledge the contributions and experiences of people with disability.

Nominations are CLOSING MAY 9TH for the 2008 National Disability Awards. Please see the following article for more information.
