SWA Committee and Board Member Role Clarifications
Members of the Swimming Community will now be aware that the Annual General Meeting has been called for the 8th of September 2007. There are a number of positions on the Board and on committees which need to be filled in accordance with our constitutional requirements.

States a Success in Newly Renovated Pool
The Hancock FMF State Open and Junior Championships (ASAOC's first major meet of the winter season) saw 541 swimmers fresh, rejuvenated and raring to go for the four day Championship meet held from the 19th - 22nd of July 2007.

Athletes on Fire at Canberra Meet as Sullivan Breaks National Record
Tallented 21yr old Olympian Eamon Sullivan has confirmed his position as Australia's fastest swimmer by breaking yet another National record, this time in the 50m SC Freestyle with a time of 21.46.

Junior Swimmers Learn from the Best at SunSmart Clinic
Approximately 24 junior swimmers enjoyed two fun-filled days in the pool with WA’s Olympic and Commonwealth Games Stars Adam Lucas, Jim Piper, Jennifer Reilly and Katrina Porter and Head Coaches Olympian Bill Kirby and top WA coach Graeme Williams at the 2007 SunSmart Junior Swim Clinic held on the 7th and 8th of July 2007.

Nederphelt and Sullivan off to Japan
Olympians Eamon Sullivan and Travis Nederphelt have both been named in the 30 strong Telstra Dolphins Australian Swim Team to compete in the Japan International Swim Meet being held in Japan, Chiba from the 21st - 24th of August.

ASAOC in conjunction with the Department of Sport and Recreation and Healthway are conducting an eight week Indigenous Swimming Program at the Goldfields Oasis Swimming Pool, Kalgoorlie.

Sullivan Upsets World Champions to Claim American Meet Record
It took rising Australian freestyle star Eamon Sullivan just 22.30 seconds to upset three world champions and two Olympic gold medallists at the Santa Clara International Invitational Grand Prix held in California from the 28th of June to the 1st of July 2007.

Time is running out to have your meet sanctioned for the Summer 2007/08 season. Deadline Friday 15th June 2007. It is a requirement of ASAOC that all meets (excluding club meets) be sanctioned.
